Pakistan Super League (PS) is one of the best cricket leagues in the world. Many experts rank this league at 3rd place after IPL and BBL. The 7th edition of the Pakistan Super League is going to start on the 27th of January with the opening match of defending champions Multan Sultans vs. Karachi Kings.

Mohammad Rizwan

Mohammad Rizwan is at his peak right now as he performed very well in the year 2021. He is the top scorer on the list of most runs in T20 internationals in a calendar year.
Rizwan is the only player who made more than 1000 runs in a calendar year in the shortest format of international cricket. He made a total of 1326 runs in 26 innings with an average of 73.66 runs per inning.

He is the current captain of Pakistan Super League’s current champions Multan Sultans. In the T20 World Cup 2021, he was at number 2 in the list of most runs in the world cup.

Wahab Riaz

Wahab Riaz is the captain of Peshawar Zalmi and he has a chance to become the first bowler to take 100 wickets in his PSL career. According to The Daily News Times, Wahab Riaz has taken a total of 94 wickets in his PSL career and there is no other player who is close to him.

Kamran Akmal

Another Zalmi player, Kamran Akmal is a very important player in the Pakistan Super League. He is the only player who has made the century score 3 times in PSL. None other player has achieved this milestone.

Sharjeel Khan is the other player who made two centuries in his PSL career, but no one except Kamran has made 3 centuries. He is a wicket-keeper batsman and has a great record in wicket keeping as well. He is the top wicketkeeper of PSL with maximum dismissals.

He is also a player who played most matches in Pakistan Super League. He played a total of 69 matches till now in all the 6 editions of the Pakistan Super League. From the very first edition of PSL, he is playing for Peshawar Zalmi and has never changed his team.

On the list of most runs by a single player in PSL, Wicket-keeper batsman, Kamran Akmal is in second place. Only Babar Azam is ahead of him.

This might be his last edition of the Pakistan Super League. Though not officially announced yet, but if you look at his age, he will likely not play the next edition of this top T20 league of Pakistan.

Mohammad Hafeez

Mohammad Hafeez is also known by his nickname, Professor. He is currently playing Pakistan Super League’s 7th edition that is going to start this month. He is representing Lahore Qalandars and he has many good innings in PSL where he won the match for his PSL team.

He is one of the oldest players in PSL along with Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, and Kamran Akmal. Recently he announced his retirement from international cricket.

This 7th edition of the Pakistan Super League will be the last PSL tournament for PSL as well. So he is an important player in the PSL because he will try his best to finish his career on a positive node.

Hafeez never made a century in PSL, but he has a great inning of 98 runs not out where he won the match for his team with his brilliant batting.
